Learn to Sing Chant with Schola Gregoriana
This workshop is specially designed for everyone with an interest in learning and singing Gregorian Chant within the context of the Sacred Liturgy. Get to grips with a thousand years of Liturgical Music and Catholic tradition in this one full-day workshop.
Nick Gale is Director of Music at St George’s Cathedral, Southwark and a Teacher of Music in the famous London Oratory School. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Saint Cecilia, a distinguished body of scholars and musicians who study and promote excellent early and modern liturgical music. He is passionate about Gregorian Chant, both in academic study and its practical application.
We are delighted to be working with Nick Gale in hosting this workshop. It is aimed at everyone interested in singing, especially parish choirs, for whom the re-introduction of Gregorian Chant to their stock repertories we hope will become increasingly common.
The cost of the day is £10.00 and includes all the resource material and refreshments.
